Why new JPS-Paints?

The answer is quit simple.
Due to EU-regulations which make it necessary to proof that the ingredients aren't harmful for the user the pigments manufacturer simply changed all pigments.
This means that thousands of pigments need to be exchanged which isn't quite simple, because the mixture needs to be checked again.
An realy expensive job to do and 20 years of research are gone too!

But pigments cant be changed that easy.
Because they are chemical connections they need to be checked each and adjusted to the other ingredients to make a high quality paint again, which pleases our customers high standards.
This is much more complicated then thought and will take a while until done.

What did change with the new colors?

We changed the formulation to increase the adhesion and better hand painting.
The new colors can be used as usual and thinned with clean water, but should better be thinned with the new thinner!
It will guaranty the color quality when thinned.
Realy new ist the package.
We followed our cutomers wish for a squeeze bottle to fill airbrushes easy.

left JPS CLASSIC, right JPS NEW.

The new bottle has a tiny tip to dropwise dose the color. So it can be dosed exactly to airbrush or pallet.

The bottle also contains a mixing tool inside which helps to stire up the paint easiely by shaking.
They also content now (30ml) and they can be mixed with the "old" colors too!

How to Use:

JPS-acrylic paints are easy to use.
All colors can be thinned with simple water (if you keep them thinnes for longer use detiled water!)
If you want higher thinning ratios, you should use the V01720 Special thinner.
They stick to almost any surface, as long as the usual precautions are made. (degreaseing, priming, etc.)

We have the ambition to get as close as possible to the original colour.
Therfore we use paint scales as RLM, RAL, BS, FS, etc.
The Paints are optimised for paintbrushing and could be airbrushed without thinning, but for a finer coating and demaractions they should be thinned.
