

VP-2F recommendet the "Sky Camouflage" from the War Department Technical Order No. 07-1-1 from 23. January 1933 for the U.S. Army Air Corps as the best scheme until proven.

A standard scheme for "Ground (Sea) Camouflage" was not possible as the sea background varies so great.
Noumerous observations of the sea were made and 3 color samples were made, but it seems that they no longer exist today.
They where intended for use instead of the Army colors in the same patterns.
