VP-2F recommendet the "Sky Camouflage" from the War Department Technical Order No. 07-1-1 from 23. January 1933 for the U.S. Army Air Corps as the best scheme until proven.

The "Night Sky Scheme" found most suitable basis until further evaluation.

The schemes for "Ground Camouflage" found to be complete unsatisfactory for Naval use.

Dark Purple No. 32

A standard scheme for "Ground (Sea) Camouflage" was not possible as the sea background varies so great.
Noumerous observations of the sea were made and 3 color samples were made, but it seems that they no longer exist today.
They where intended for use instead of the Army colors in the same patterns.
