Towards the end of WW II, suddenly for unknown reasons, the colours of Luftwaffe paint changed
Whether this change occured because of the lack or inferior quality of required ingredients
or if they where field mixtures, is not known for certain.
But itīs a fact, that those colour existed on german Aircraft.
Best examples are RLM 84, 84a and 84B as I like to describe them and they apear with this
description in past, mostly american, Publications.
Those description is maybe not correct and RLM 76a, 76b, 76c would be the better choise
becaurse they could be weathered examples of RLM 76.
The Paint appear mostly on the side and undersurfaces of late War Aircraft.
A similar discussion are with the colours RLM 81, 82 und 83.
The newest informations indicates more and more that the earlier colours RLM 61 and 62 are
rerealeased under a new description.
Not unusual for paint manufacturers and the colours are to close to be random.
This is suported by the fact that RAL Equivalents for 61 and 62 found in the Camouflage
Order for Buildings and be exelent for ground camouflage.
Which was well suitable with the allied air superiority in the late War month.
Anyway, the last word about this is not spoken.
